Maison Hospitality Furnishings is a lifestyle brand built on values of craftsmanship, modern design, and integrity. The visual identity system was developed to resonate with a West Coast audience, spanning middle to upper-class households. Inspired by brands like West Elm and Restoration Hardware, the design approach emphasized clean typography, rich texture, and practical elegance across digital and print touchpoints.
For my first attempt at redesigning the clients website I followed a blueprint of the original site design but added a new color palette that would serve to unify the brand in a more conventional way.
After reviewing the initial site direction, I identified an overreliance on early-2000s design patterns that felt outdated and inconsistent with the brand's tone. To improve usability, especially for older users, I rebuilt the site around a section-scrolling framework using JavaScript’s Scrollify plugin. The revised layout presents promotional content up front while streamlining product exploration — ensuring customers can quickly find what they’re looking for without distraction.
This redesign balances visual appeal with user-centered strategy — prioritizing accessibility, clarity, and a guided flow toward the product catalog.
